CareJet owns and operates a Westwind II exclusively for air ambulance use. This twin-engine, highly successful business jet is ideal for patient transport as its body is low to the ground and allows for easy access from the runway. The aircraft is equipped for extended range and features fuel-efficient turbofan engines. The Westwind II can accommodate one patient, a 2-person flight crew, a 2-person medical crew, and an accompanying passenger.

In-house teams of certified A&P aircraft mechanics oversee the maintenance of CareJet’s Westwind II and ensure that the aircraft is safe and in excellent condition at all times. Maintenance is conducted in CareJet’s 50,000 square foot operations center, which features direct access to the airport’s restricted Air Operations Area. CareJet meets and exceeds standards set forth by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration.

CareJet utilizes the highest standard of medical equipment to ensure that the patient is well cared for while in-flight. Flight nurses may also administer medication to the patient as directed by the air ambulance medical director.
